Two Different Journeys, One Shared Dream ✈️❤️

Travis and Melissa come from two completely different worlds, yet their paths crossed in a way that led them to co-own the Airport Inn in Greene together.
Melissa’s journey began in a dental chair — not as a patient, but as a Dental Hygienist. While she loved her career, she always had a spark for entrepreneurship. In 2020 she took a leap and opened a clothing boutique in Greene, a passion project that taught her valuable lessons about business, community, and following her instincts. Eventually, she returned to dental hygiene, but the drive to create something of her own never went away. That same passion brought her back — this time to open a restaurant that has quickly become a second home.
Travis’s story is one of deep roots and resilience. The Airport Inn in Binghamton has been in his family since the 1980s. In 2006, he purchased it from his mom, running it out of a 200-year-old barn filled with history. In 2019, tragedy struck when the building burned down. But Travis didn’t walk away — he rebuilt. From the ashes came a 7,000 square-foot restaurant and event space, a true testament to his hard work, dedication, and the community that rallied around him.
When they opened the second location in Greene, they knew they weren’t just starting another restaurant. They were carrying forward a brand with decades of history, a name the community already loved, and a reputation for incredible wings, great food, and a welcoming bar atmosphere. The Airport Inn name means something special to so many in the area, and Travis and Melissa are proud to keep that tradition alive.
Together, they’ve built more than just a restaurant. The Airport Inn Greene is a dream realized, a team effort, and a place built on heart, history, and community.
Here’s to new beginnings, honoring the past, and creating a space where everyone feels at home. ✈️💙
